Colour on the walls

As spring arrives, I get my ass in gear
Mud went on in January. If you've read the Commodore blog you will know that I hate mud, I hate sanding, I hate the dust. I hate that my projects get held up by my hatred for all things drywall . As I write this it's mid April and I've been putting every damn thing off because of drywall mud.
Another thing I hate is the overbearing textures throughout this home. In the main floor alone I had three separate ceiling textures to deal with.
Scraping popcorn off set me back again. Hard work and my shoulders couldn't handle too much of it. So I made a new plan as you'll see later.
Much like in the Commodore I'm going to have lots of wall /ceiling coverings. I don't like plain flat walls so my plan B albeit a little more costly will play into that plan. 5" pine tung and groove on all of the main floor ceiling.
This was me as you were eating Easter dinner.
Finished dining /sitting area
Of all the tools I've bought, I like this the most. So much I can cut, allows me to DIY so much more.
With such a small place I need all the storage possible. This will be my spice rack.
Almost seven hours on this. Wood fill, sand, wood fill, sand. My back and arms were dead.
Finished sanding the drywall
